VEHICLE CCTV SOLUTIONS
Choosing the correct way to capture video on vehicles for security or evidential reasons is not always straight forward and getting it wrong can be very expensive for any business. Buying your Camera Solutions from Vanguarder can minimise that risk as we have a vast range of experiences installing CCTV to not only Trucks, Vans and Cars, but also more diverse things like Fork Lift Trucks and Boats.
You must decide what quality of image playback you want as we can provide D1, AHD & 4K Solutions, is it enough to see the car reversed into you or do you need to read the registration number 50 metres away? How long do you want to store recordings for before they are overwritten? If a truck works away from base all week, will the recording of an incident on Monday still be available on Saturday? All of these questions help identify which technology is correct for you.
Vanguarder CCTV Monitoring Solutions have helped many of our clients identify who was responsible for a collision. Take a look at our most recent episodes of the Blame Game on Facebook.
Storage Options
SD Cards - Very cost effective but very small storage (128GB Max) and high failure rate in Dash Cameras. We do our best to nullify these risks by using industry leading components but the technology has a poor reputation and deservedly so.
HDD (Hard Disk Drive) - more expensive but massively bigger (2TB Max), As these have moving parts and need to shut down safely, it is important to protect the Hard Drive from vibrations and power cuts (Isolators etc), can be slow to boot up or shut down, particularly if mistreated.
SSD (Solid State Drive) - Very Expensive but most reliable as there are no moving parts and boots quickly. (1TB Max)
Due to the variance in image quality and length of record time involved, there is no such thing as one solution fits all in Vehicle CCTV and getting the right mix of resolution, memory and cameras will define your decision to buy Vehicle CCTV.
